Neville and Michael Hobby, Lucy Mimram, Larry, Joslyn, Arden and
Denise Wohl with Victor Kubicek. C-in2 founder Gregory Sovell, Katherine
“Kat” Cohen, Linda Argila, Laura Steinberg, Kevin Corrigan,
Susan Magrino and artists Jon James, Damon Johnson and Spencer Tunick
were just a few who turned up at Capitale for the Edwin Gould Services
for Children & Families gala to honor George A. Weiss, founder
of Say Yes to Education. Foster kids and other children created
works of art with famous artists, such as Jeff Koons, Peter Beard,
Peter Max, Ross Bleckner and Kenny Scharf. The art was auctioned
off to raise funds for the foster care children and their families.
Edwin Gould Services for Children & Families is a non-profit
organization serving and protecting children who have been separated
from their families and placed in foster care. Most of the children
have experienced abuse, violence, neglect or abandonment.
Say Yes to Education is an organization that combines social, educational,
and mentoring support as a motivation for elementary school students
to complete their education through high school. Upon graduation
SYTE will pay for their college, university or trade school. |
