I just wanted to send a personal thank you for your generosity. On September 29th, at the Apollo Theater in Harlem, you gave my daughter and I the greatest gift ever. Thank you so much for the college scholarship opportunity. WHAT A BLESSING!

Three years ago, my daughter’s father passed away when she was two years old. Right then, I knew I had a long road ahead of me having to have to raise my child on my own. I had already begun preparing for her future education.

No words can express the gratitude I feel for such a wonderful gesture. To me, surely you are a godsend. With hard work and dedication, I am certain my daughter will be one of your many other success stories.

I have been reading on you and your foundation and the wonderful deeds you are doing. It’s simply amazing.

P.S. Sorry for the delay in getting this note of thanks to you. At the time of getting this great gift, my dad was battling cancer. Between work and going to the hospital every evening, I had no spare time for myself, but I am not complaining. My dad has since passed away (on October 13th). I was able, however, to share this special news with him, and was happy to see for once, in a very long time, his eyes light up with delight and joy!! For that, I thank you too. God Bless you!!
